Tiburon parks panel backs traffic measures near Del Mar school


Several streets around Del Mar Middle School could see high-visibility crosswalks, curb extensions with pedestrian ramps and increased signage in an effort to calm traffic in the area. The Tiburon Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission, acting in its role as the town’s state-mandated Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee, gave a thumbs-up to the improvements at its July 16 meeting; its recommendation will now be forwarded to the Town Council, which is expected to consider giving the project its final approval at its Aug. 7 meeting.
