Belvedere officials talk public safety, disaster prep, housing at annual forum

Belvedere officials last week highlighted the city’s public safety, coyote-management and disaster-preparedness efforts over the past year while also reiterating their commitment to addressing the city’s housing issues in the coming year.

 

Residents gathered Jan. 30 at the Belvedere Community Center for the 45th community meeting on the state of the city. It also honored 2024’s Citizens of the Year, Michael and Marsha Lasky, and its Citizen Emeritus, Marcia Felton.

 

City Manager Robert Zadnik said Belvedere is in “very solid shape” overall.

 

“We do face challenges, but we’re finding smart ways to overcome them, and we are doing it on the foundation of strong financial health and community involvement,” he said.
