Belvedere will spend $320,000 on road repairs, maintenance

Belvedere’s roads are in good condition overall, according to a pavement study, and the city plans to spend some $320,000 in the current fiscal year to maintain and repair some streets that are starting to show signs of wear.

 

Belvedere’s 23.4 miles of traffic lanes earned an average score of 73 out of 100 on the pavement-condition index, a scale developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to indicate the general condition of a pavement section, according to a July 2023 study conducted by contractor Pavement Engineering Inc. The contractor presented its 2023 Pavement Management Program Update, paid for by a grant from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, to the City Council July 8.
