Marsha and Michael Lasky have immersed themselves in the community over their five decades of living in Belvedere.

They’ve each served stints on the Planning Commission and the Parks, Open Spaces and Lanes Committee. In addition, Marsha co-owned Sweet Things Bakery in Tiburon’s The Cove shopping center for more than four decades, and Michael has served on the board of Sanitary District No. 5 of Marin and volunteered his time as a Belvedere block captain, a program in which neighbors help neighbors in emergencies.

Their decades of service to the city have earned the Laskys recognition as Belvedere’s 2024 Citizens of the Year. They’ll be honored alongside longtime resident Marcia Felton, who was named Citizen of the Year Emeritus for her more than three decades of volunteer work with the Belvedere Community Foundation, at the city’s annual town hall meeting Jan. 30.
