Financial adviser named to interim seat on Tiburon fire district board

A resident with a background in private equity and strategic financial advising has joined the Tiburon Fire Protection District board of directors.

Brett Tucker was appointed to the interim seat by a 3-0 vote of the board at its July 8 meeting, with member Cheryl Woodford absent.

Tucker, who was one of four applicants, will replace Robert Miller, who submitted his resignation letter May 10, citing personal reasons. He’s set to be sworn in at the board’s Aug. 14 meeting and will serve through the remainder of Miller’s term, which expires in November. He will be eligible to run for election to a four-year term that month on the five-member board.
