Tiburon Peninsula Little League players, coaches and families marched down Tiburon Boulevard from the Lyford Drive parking lot to Main Street on March 28 to a downtown block party, which closed lower Main for food, carnival games, a merchandise station, a silent auction and more to kick off the baseball season. Meanwhile, Tiburon Girls Softball, a league in Marin Girls Softball, celebrated opening day with a ceremonial run around the bases, player introductions, team photos, workshops and practice earlier that day at the fields at Del Mar Middle School.
