New sidewalk, safer crossings coming to Strawberry Point Elementary area

Marin County will build a new sidewalk and improve crosswalks along the north side of Ricardo Lane as part of infrastructure improvements that Strawberry Point Elementary School community leaders have sought for years.

 

The project is one of 33 that the Transportation Authority of Marin board of commissioners approved March 27 to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety near schools. Of the $7.56 million allocated by the board, $450,000 will go toward the Strawberry Point-area upgrades. Funding comes from Measure AA sales-tax revenue through the Safe Pathways to Schools program.
