Nov. 2 Diwali festival offers food, art, dance on Main Street

Residents can celebrate Diwali with dance performances, art and food 2-5 p.m. Nov. 2 on lower Main Street in Tiburon.

Planned entertainment includes Marin County-based Dance with Elite Naach Academy, live DJing from Rav-E of San Francisco-based Non Stop Banghra and a musical performance from San Francisco-based Ustad Lal Singh Bhatti, who also drums on the traditional dhol.

Among the food offerings at the festival, hosted by the town’s Diversity Inclusion Task Force and now in its third year, are San Francisco-based food truck Kaböb Trölley, which sells Afghan fusion street food; kulfi, a frozen delicacy akin to ice cream, from Pints of Joy out of Sunnyvale; and Pakistani delicacies from food truck Lahore Di Khushboo out of San Francisco.
