St. Hilary CYO track team nabs over 20 medals at countywide meet

The St. Hilary CYO track-and-field team had a strong showing at the Marin Catholic Youth Organization meet at Terra Linda High School on May 19, with 11 athletes making the podium in 22 events.


Among them was Jordan Boyd of Belvedere, who took first place in the 200-, 400- and 800-meter races for fifth-grade girls — setting a new 400-meter Marin CYO record with her time of 1 minute, 7.12 seconds.


Also competing were John Huger of Belvedere, who finished first in the long jump, second in the 400-meter race and third in the 200-meter race for seventh-grade boys; Jane Zewe of Belvedere, who took second in the 800-meter race for sixth-grade girls; and Alana Barclay of Tiburon, who finished second in the 200-meter race and third in the long jump and the 50- and 100-meter races among fifth-grade girls.
