Updated: 3 hours ago

The Tiburon Challenger welcomes top upcoming men’s tennis players to the Tiburon Peninsula Club from Sept. 29 to Oct. 6, including Alexis Galarneau, pictured playing in Turin, Italy, in May. Galarneau is a two-time Tiburon Challenger semifinalist, having lost to eventual winner Zachary Svajda in both 2022 and 2023. (Mike Lawrence / ATP Tour)

Alexis Galarneau has twice competed in the Tiburon Challenger, reaching the semifinals each time. This year, the 25-year-old from the Montreal suburb of Laval has his sights set on the top prize.

“Obviously, I would like to get to the finals,” he says. “I think that would be the next step.”

Galarneau is one of the four dozen or so tennis players set to take center court when this year’s Tiburon Challenger comes into town Sept. 29-Oct. 6 at the Tiburon Peninsula Club.
