Tiburon parks board pushing for quick wins in long-term vision

Tiburon parks officials are moving forward with their pledge to bring some simple improvements to the town’s miniparks, recommending the town hire a landscape architect who can help turn ideas and resident feedback into more concrete plans.

 

The recommendation to the Town Council from the Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission at its Jan. 29 meeting was one of several related to the continued advancement of the town’s parks, open space and recreation plan. The commission also recommended that town staff assess potential locations for a paddleboard and kayak launch, and it created a sixth subcommittee to explore potential improvements to Zelinsky Park.
