Tiburon brothers Alex and Nico Moon and Belvedere’s Mirabel Arlander teamed up with Branson School classmate Audrey Gilmor to take first place at the DUPR High School Pickleball California State Championship earlier this month, while fellow Branson students and Tiburon residents Jayden Patel and Sienna Yang joined teammates Jack Hilleboe and Elizabeth Liu to claim third place in the field of four teams.

The tournament was held March 15 at the Craneway Pavillion in Richmond. The team event was single-elimination, with Branson’s A-team of Alex, Nico, Mirabel and Audrey defeating a team from the Proof School in San Francisco via a 21-19 tiebreaker round after a 2-2 split. It was the second straight year Branson bested Proof at the event.
