Tiburon Town Hall art gallery reopens with ‘Past and Present’ exhibit

Tiburon Town Hall is celebrating the post-COVID grand reopening of its art gallery with “Past and Present,” an exhibit featuring 22 artists who have previously shown their works in the space.

The exhibit, hosted by the Heritage and Arts Commission, is on view through Oct. 18.

Kathy Gray’s large oil painting, “A Morning to Remember,” is the first piece to greet visitors. She created the 60-inch-by-18-inch panorama of the Golden Gate Bridge and its surroundings after taking photos early one March morning.

“It was 7 a.m. and very calm,” Gray, 69, recalls. “The only movement was the cargo ship going out the gate, and I thought to myself, ‘That’s the picture.’”
